DIY: Glitter Wine Glasses

Put some more sparkle in your life with these pretty DIY glitter wine glasses!

 What You Need: Wine Glasses, Glitter, Mod Podge, Brush, and a Piece of Paper (to catch the extra glitter).

 We used Mod Podge Matte Finish by Plaid and the Martha Stewart Essentials Glitter Set.

 Steps:

 1) Coat the handle of the glass in Mod Podge or glue.

 2) While being careful to stay over the paper, sprinkle glitter onto the glass. Don’t be shy with the glitter! You can use the paper to dump the extra back into your glitter container.

 3) Let the glass dry and repeat steps 1 and 2 until you reach your desired level of sparkle.

 4) Put at least two layers of Mod Podge on top of the last layer of glitter so that the glitter won’t come off in your hand.

 Helpful Tip: These glasses are hand wash only so make sure they don’t end up in the dishwasher!

 Gather the gals, and start sipping in style!

DIY Boxwood Wreath With Paper Flowers

It all started with a boxwood wreath from Trader Joe’s. Honestly. I’ve always loved the hardiness and rich green hue of boxwood and for $10, I couldn’t possibly pass up one of TJ’s favorite holiday offerings. But how would I use the oh too simple wreath as a foundation for something bigger, brighter and more festive? Real flowers only last a few days but ah, paper flowers . . . paper flowers could easily outlast the boxwood itself and carry me through the holidays. So I paid a visit to paper flower genius Lynn Dolan and my friends at Castle In The Air for some brilliant ideas on how to embellish my new door decor. Lynn suggested poinsettias, a Christmas classic, in a Palm Springs inspired palette. Ding, ding!
